Every day, I will send home a take home folder with your child. In it will be any important papers from the elementary
office, and papers the children have completed throughout the week. Please be sure you check your child's backpack
during the week. Also, please have your child read his/her DEAR books to you and fill out the list of books read
so far. Whenever a list is full, the children get to pick a prize from our prize box.
During the month
of October, we learn about the harvest and other fall activities. We will have a fall festival party at the end of October,
in place of a Halloween party.
In November we concentrate on Thanksgiving and family.
December finds us
learning about wants and needs and the difference between them.
In January we learn about penguins. February is
dental health month and patriotism. March is weather month. April centers around the environment, Easter, and
St Pat's Day. May is the time we study plants. As you can see, we still have a lot to learn!
